These individuals have been chosen by STAT for their outstanding achievements and potential to change the world with their innovative ideas.

To give you an insight into the lives and journeys of these Wunderkinds, we will be hosting a livestream at 1 p.m. ET on [insert date]. During this event, past all-star Wunderkinds will share their experiences and discuss how they have grown since being featured in previous years. We will also hear about their most inspiring and innovative ideas that are shaping the future of science and medicine.

The event will feature introductions from Lauren Averett Byers, M.D., professor of thoracic/head & neck medical oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Koichi Takahashi, M.D., Ph.D., associate professor of Leukemia at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Kellie Jurado, Ph.D., presidential assistant professor of microbiology at the University of Pennsylvania, researches immune system development and response to viral infections during early life. Bianca Jones Marlin, Ph.D., Herbert and Florence Irving assistant professor of cell research at Columbia University’s Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute, investigates the biology of how trauma and stress can be inherited across generations
