Breaking Barriers: Four Distance Runners Shatter World Record at Oregon Relays

US quartet shatters world record in distance medley relay at Eugene event

Brandon Miller, Henry Wynne, Isaiah Harris, and Brannon Kidder teamed up to break the distance medley relay world record at the Oregon Relays in Eugene, USA. The relay consists of legs of 1200m, 400m, 800m, and 1600m.

Kidder started off with a strong 1200m leg in 2:49.60, followed by Miller running 46.60 for the 400m. Harris then ran a speedy 1:45.75 for the 800m leg, with Wynne closing out the race with a 3:52.64 for the final 1600m leg.

Their combined time of 9:14.58 set a new world record, improving on the previous record of 9:15.50 set in 2015. The next World Athletics Relays will take place in Nassau on May 4-5. The record-breaking performance is subject to the usual ratification procedure.
