In the month of February, the city of Willmar issued a total of 42 building, mechanical, and plumbing permits with a combined value of $591,310. These permits were reported on the city website. Some notable permits included a commercial reroofing permit for 800 19th Ave. S.W., valued at $159,930 and issued to Bruce Torell with Leaders Manufacturing. Other permits with values over $20,000 included a fire alarm system installation, a commercial reroofing project, and several residential siding and roofing projects.
One of the larger permits was for a fire alarm system update at Carris Health, valued at $25,000. This building is home to the CentraCare – Willmar Lakeland Clinic. With these February permits, the total value of permits issued by Willmar in 2024 so far is $1,162,205.
