Head of National Assembly Attends ceremony to unveil new direct flight route between Ho Chi Minh City and Xi’an

Vietjet has recently announced the launch of direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Xi’an, with four round trips per week. This new route is part of Vietjet’s efforts to expand its flight connections to China, with previous successful routes to Shanghai and Chengdu.

The announcement of the flight route took place during the visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to China, in the context of a forum on promoting investment and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China on April 10. Xi’an, located in Shaanxi province, is known for its cultural heritage and historical significance as the starting point of the Silk Road. It attracts a large amount of foreign direct investment and is a key city in Western China.

Ho Chi Minh City, on the other hand, is a vibrant economic, cultural, and tourist hub in Vietnam with a population of nearly 10 million people. It offers easy connections to both domestic and international destinations. The new flight route between Ho Chi Minh City and Xi’an not only connects the two cities but also provides convenient connections to other Asian destinations in Vietjet’s network, such as Australia, India, Korea, and Mongolia.

Travelers flying with Vietjet can expect a modern aircraft, friendly and professional crew, and a culinary experience that highlights Vietnamese cuisine such as banh mi and Pho Thin. The new route aims to promote cultural exchange, education, economic development, and tourism between Vietnam and China. It presents a unique opportunity for both countries to strengthen their ties and enhance connectivity within the region.

Vietjet’s efforts to expand its flight connections to China have been met with approval from industry experts who believe that this move will further boost bilateral relations between Vietnam and China by increasing travel flow between them.
