UVA Health Children’s: Expanding Comprehensive Care for Children and Families in Virginia

President Ryan’s participation in the Boston Marathon generates over $52,000 in donations for UVA Health Children’s.

UVA Health Children’s, the top-ranked children’s hospital in Virginia for three consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report, is set to open a new clinic in Albemarle County later this year. This expansion is part of an effort to provide comprehensive care to children and families across the region.

University of Virginia President Jim Ryan recently completed his 13th Boston Marathon, raising over $52,000 for UVA Health Children’s. This brings the total amount he has raised through his Boston Marathon runs to over $100,000. The hospital offers specialized care in nine specialties ranked among the top 50 nationally and provides primary and specialty care in over 30 specialties across Virginia and beyond.

The Battle Building houses the UVA Health Children’s Ambulatory Clinics, which offer integrated outpatient care to families in the region. It also includes a pediatric emergency department, a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The hospital is located within the UVA Health University Medical Center and is dedicated to providing top-quality care to children and families in need.
