Teen Violence, Mental Health and Social Challenges in the Valley: A Two-Hour Roundtable Discussion Hosted by ABC15 and KTAR News

KTAR and ABC15 Arizona collaborate on roundtable discussion regarding teen violence and mental health in the Valley.

ABC15 has teamed up with KTAR News to host a two-hour roundtable discussion on mental health and behavior challenges among Valley teens and young adults. This event comes in response to recent media coverage of teen violence and bullying in the East Valley.

The first hour of the roundtable will focus on the topic of teen violence over the past several years, including the tragic death of Preston Lord. If you have questions or topics you would like the roundtable members to address regarding teen violence and mental health, you can email them at teenviolence@abc15.com before the event starts.

In the second hour, the discussion will shift to primary issues impacting youth today, including mental health, bullying, and social media threats. The COVID-19 pandemic will also be explored in relation to how it has affected teens and their ability to navigate external stressors.

The roundtable will take place on Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., and can be viewed on various streaming devices such as Roku, Amazon Fire Stick or other devices through ABC15 app or website, YouTube page or mobile app. This roundtable is part of KTAR’s week-long “Youth on Edge” series which focuses on teen violence topics impacting the community.
