On Thursday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a violent mental health call in a Lynwood neighborhood. The incident unfolded when a resident, who had stopped taking medication, began attacking family members at their home on Olanda Street. Deputies reported hearing a gunshot in the background during the call.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered that the home was on fire, but fortunately, the family members and the suspect had safely evacuated without any injuries. The suspect was taken into custody by deputies while the Los Angeles County Fire Department worked to extinguish the flames.
