In Section 1-6A of Class 6A baseball, four teams are vying for a sweep of their three-game series on Thursday. North Allegheny and Pine-Richland are both looking to maintain their undefeated records this week. North Allegheny hopes to achieve a third consecutive win against Butler, while Pine-Richland aims to secure a second victory over Allderdice. In Section 2-6A, Hempfield and Canon-McMillan are both looking to complete a sweep in their series. The Spartans will face Baldwin while the Big Macs will take on Norwin.

The Mt. Lebanon team is defending their championship in WPIAL softball against Central Catholic with a rubber game scheduled for Thursday. In Section 3-4A of WPIAL softball, North Catholic is battling Hampton for early possession of first place. Laurel is visiting Neshannock in Section 1-2A to vie for the top spot in their section. South Fayette leads Section 3-2A in WPIAL boys volleyball, but Trinity and Thomas Jefferson are close behind, making for an exciting match on Thursday.
