Scottish Strongman Takes Early Lead in World’s Strongest Man Competition

Tom Stoltman Maintains Lead After Saturday’s Events

On the first day of the 2024 World’s Strongest Man competition, held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Tom Stoltman of Scotland emerged as the leader with a score of 26.5 points. Close behind him were Mitchell Hooper of Canada and Evan Singleton of the United States with 23.5 and 23 points respectively.

Stoltman, a two-time World’s Strongest Man winner, was among the ten competitors vying for the title. The athletes competed in three events on the first day: Knaack Giant’s Medley, Max Axle, and Keg Toss. Stoltman and Hooper tied for first in Max Axle while Stoltman, Hooper, and Derwinsky tied for first in Keg Toss. Singleton won the Knaack Giant’s Medley event.

The second and final day of the competition will feature events such as Reign Total Body Fuel Conan’s Wheel, BFGoodrich Tires HD Terrain Deadlift, and Atlas Stones. The winner of the World’s Strongest Man competition will be determined based on their performance in these events.
