The Rollins School of Public Health has achieved a significant milestone by ranking as the No. 3 accredited school in the United States in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-2025 graduate school rankings. This recognition is a testament to the school’s dedication to excellence through research, teaching, and academic rigor. Dean M. Daniele Fallin expressed gratitude for the recognition and highlighted the importance of being acknowledged during a time when public health is crucial.
Although pleased with the ranking, Rollins focuses on various indicators of success beyond rankings. The school has excelled in areas such as research funding, award-winning faculty, relationships with national and local organizations, and the strength of its community. With a consistent top 10 ranking for the past 20 years, Rollins was previously ranked No. 4 and has individual programs that also secured top spots in areas such as environmental health science, social behavior, epidemiology, health policy and management, and biostatistics.
Recent achievements for the school include being ranked No. 5 nationally in National Institutes of Health funding, receiving over $62 million in fiscal year 2023. The total research funding for the school in the same year was $179 million. Additionally, Stephen Patrick will join the school as the new chair of the Department of Health Policy and Management in June.
