Revolutionizing Healthcare Technology: Tampa Bay Wave’s Inaugural HealthTech|X Accelerator Program Launches

Applications Open for 2024 HealthTech|X Accelerator by Tampa Bay Wave

Tampa Bay Wave has announced the launch of its inaugural 2024 HealthTech|X Accelerator program, made possible by a grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA). The program aims to fuel innovation and support high-potential healthtech startups in Tampa and beyond, with an immersive 90-day experience that includes one-on-one mentoring, pitch coaching, and investment readiness training.

Sponsored in part by The Florida High Tech Corridor, USF Research & Innovation, Foley & Lardner, and Levo Health, the program also has partnerships with the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council (EDC) and the USF Health Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS).

Linda Olson, CEO of Tampa Bay Wave, expressed excitement about opening the application process and inviting innovative healthtech startups to join in advancing healthcare technology in the region.

The HealthTech|X Accelerator aligns with the vision of the Tampa Medical and Research District, a growing hub of clinical care, academics, research, and biotechnology that includes institutions like Tampa General Hospital and the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. In partnership with the 1 Tampa Bay Economic Development Council, the district aims to build an inclusive ecosystem to attract talent and innovation, creating jobs and promoting a healthier, more prosperous region.
