Quenching the Thirst for Knowledge: A Gathering of Local Science Experts in Whitefish Lake.

The Science Quencher event, hosted by the Whitefish Lake Institute, is an engaging local gathering that brings together experts in various fields to share their knowledge and passion for natural resource and conservation issues. The event will take place on April 26 from 5-7 p.m. at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake.

Attendees will have the chance to interact with local science experts who are eager to share their insights and inspire others. Speakers include Sam Bourret, a fisheries biologist with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks; Carol Treadwell, finance and grants manager for Whitefish Lake Institute; chief wool handler at Steitzhof Merinos; Denver Holt, founder and president of The Owl Research Institute; and Dakota Whitman, a fluvial geomorphologist with River Design Group.

Durae Belcer, program coordinator at the Whitefish Lake Institute, describes the Science Quencher as a unique opportunity to engage with local experts in a relaxed setting and learn more about the world of science and conservation. Each presentation will be a 10-15 minute “lightning round” talk with an opportunity for questions from the audience.
