Ogeechee Tech Graduates Dedicate to Enhancing Animal Lives with Veterinary Technology Skills

Pinning Ceremony Held for OTC Veterinary Technology Program

On April 18, 2024, the Veterinary Technology Program at Ogeechee Technical College hosted a pinning ceremony in the auditorium of the Joseph E. Kennedy Building. The event was led by Juliana Cadle, President of Ogeechee Tech’s Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (SCNAVTA), who challenged the graduates to continue serving and making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners.

During the ceremony, Deidre Tillman, an instructor in the Veterinary Technology program at OTC, commended the graduates for completing a challenging academic curriculum and demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and compassionate care throughout their training. She noted that their achievements showcase the potential in the field and highlight the importance of perseverance and dedication in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners.

The class took the Veterinary Technician’s Oath, and each of the ten graduates received an Ogeechee Technical College Veterinary Technology pin. The 2024 pin recipients included Avery Beasley, Bonnie Blackburn, Enyia Bostic, Hannah Etheridge, Bryn Green, Faith Jones, Michalla Jones, Maranda Martin, Taylor Rhymes-Weidner
