New Mental Health Program Launched at Kettering Health Miamisburg to Address Growing Demand in Montgomery County

Kettering Health is growing its outpatient mental health services

In response to the growing demand for mental health services in Montgomery County, Kettering Health is expanding its intensive outpatient mental health program. The program will now be offered at Kettering Health Miamisburg, making it more accessible for patients in the area.

According to Julie Manuel, the clinical program manager at Kettering Health Behavioral Medical Center, easy access to behavioral health services is crucial in helping patients effectively utilize the skills they learn in the intensive outpatient program. Patients will have access to group and individual therapy sessions with trained clinicians, as well as support in managing their medications.

Mike Rabuka, the administrative director of Kettering Health Behavioral Medical Center, emphasized that this new program aims to meet the increasing demand for mental health services in the region. By providing services closer to home, individuals can reduce emergency room visits and potential hospitalizations, allowing them to maintain daily functioning and participation in their lives.

In addition to the program at Kettering Health Miamisburg, the health network also offers the same program at their behavioral medical center in Moraine. They are hopeful that the program will expand to other campuses in the region in the future.
