New public hospital approved for construction in Beer Sheva

In recent months, businesses in the north have expressed their frustration over the constant closures in Safed whenever there is an alarm. Prof. Yitzhak Kreis, director of the Sheba Medical Center, has expressed optimism about the new hospital’s establishment. The chairman of United, Il Gabai, highlighted its importance in correcting years of disparity in healthcare services for residents of the south. The CEO of Leumit HMO also emphasized its benefits in providing additional health services both within the hospital and the community.

Mayor Rubik Danilovich of Beer Sheva played a role in establishing this historic decision to upgrade healthcare access in Beer Sheva and southern Israel after years of advocacy. He called for immediate planning and training to expedite construction and improve healthcare access for residents.

The new hospital aims to close decades-old gaps in healthcare services, improve quality of life, create thousands of job opportunities, drive economic growth in Beer Sheva and southern Israel by connecting with innovation districts, startups, and international research initiatives.
