New Falcon: Versatile Cornerback Harrison Hand Set to Enhance Atlanta’s Defense

Falcons Add CB Harrison Hand to Roster

The Falcons made a roster move on Wednesday by signing cornerback Harrison Hand and waiving cornerback Anthony Sao. Hand was drafted in the fifth round by the Vikings in 2020 after playing college football at Temple. He spent two seasons in Minnesota, playing 23 games before joining the Bears. In his three seasons in the NFL, Hand has played in 27 games with two starts. He has recorded 24 tackles, four pass breakups, and one interception, which he made against Saints quarterback Drew Brees in 2020.

The Falcons will look to Hand to provide depth and experience in the cornerback position as they prepare for the upcoming season. Hand’s versatility and NFL experience will be valuable assets for the team as they work to improve their defense. The team had signed Sao as an undrafted free agent from North Dakota State University but decided to cut him loose after he failed to make a strong impression during training camp.

Hand’s addition to the Falcons’ roster provides them with more options on defense and allows them to experiment with different combinations of players. With his background as an undrafted free agent who has played for multiple teams, Hand brings a unique perspective that could help him excel in Atlanta’s defensive system. As he joins a new team, Hand is eager to prove himself and showcase his skills on the field.

Overall, the Falcons are excited about what Hand can bring to their defense and look forward to seeing him play alongside other talented players on their roster.
