Minnesota United’s Star Midfielder Emanuel Reynoso Linked to Move to Liga MX in Mexico

Club Tijuana considering Loons midfielder Emanuel Reynoso for potential transfer

The transfer of Emanuel Reynoso to Club Tijuana in Mexico’s Liga MX is being reported, although the deal is not yet finalized. Reynoso, a standout midfielder for Minnesota United in Major League Soccer (MLS), has been linked to a move to Liga MX previously, with FC Juarez also showing interest.

Recently, Reynoso returned from an unexcused absence in Argentina and has not been training with Minnesota United’s first team since his return. His absence has strained relationships within the club, with captain Michael Boxall admitting that he had not seen Reynoso since his comeback. Additionally, Reynoso has missed significant playing time this season, contributing only 10 goals in 18 games.

If Minnesota United decides to sell Reynoso, they will be looking to recoup as much of the transfer fee they paid for him as possible. Reynoso is one of the Loons’ highest-paid players and is currently under contract until the end of the 2025 MLS season. If he leaves, it could open up opportunities for the club to make big additions in the upcoming transfer window.
