One senior at Miami University, Abigail Templin, stated that juggling schoolwork often leads to neglecting other aspects of life such as social activities, exercise, or healthy eating habits. To address this issue, Miami University has organized a range of activities for Stress Less Week including therapy dogs, painting and drawing sessions, puzzles, yoga classes and stress less workshops.

The Assistant Director for Mental Health Promotion and Education at Miami University, Katelyn Howell emphasized the importance of taking time for oneself. She highlighted the significance of events like Stress Less Week in reminding students about the importance of prioritizing their mental health and emotional well-being.

Templin also emphasized the importance of normalizing conversations about mental health. She believes that events like Stress Less Week can help students feel supported and connected, acknowledging that many students struggle with issues related to mental health. By coming together as a community, students can feel more comfortable addressing these challenges.
