Joey Gase Throws Bumper in On-Track Altercation: NASCAR Driver Sells ‘Souvenirs’ and Partners with New Sponsor.

NASCAR Driver Lands Bumper-Selling Sponsorship After Fiery Display

Joey Gase made headlines two weeks ago during the ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond Raceway when he threw his own rear bumper at another driver, Dawson Cram. Gase was involved in an on-track altercation with Cram that led to him being taken out of the Xfinity Series race. In a moment of frustration, Gase ripped the damaged panel off his car and hurled it towards Cram. NASCAR fined Gase $5,000 for his actions.

Videos of the incident quickly went viral, showcasing Gase’s intense emotions towards Cram. In an interview following his release from the infield care center, Gase explained his actions by stating that he wanted to “give [Cram] a souvenir and let him know what he did.” Despite the fine, Gase seemed unfazed, especially after securing a new sponsor, Bumpers That Deliver.

Joey Gase Racing wasted no time in capitalizing on the buzz surrounding the incident. They began selling t-shirts with the phrase “Enjoy Your Souvenir” and a picture of Gase throwing the bumper. Additionally, their partnership with Bumpers That Deliver further solidifies their support for Gase and his racing endeavors. The company emphasized their dedication to delivering top-notch bumpers and expressed excitement for backing Gase Racing, the National Crime Prevention Council, and Donate Life.

NASCAR fined Gase for approaching the cars on the track rather than specifically for throwing the bumper. Despite this, Joey Gase Racing remains undeterred as their No. 53 Ford Mustang will proudly display Bumpers That Deliver colors at the Cabo Wabo 250 at Michigan International Speedway in August.
