The University of Jamestown softball team emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over Morningside University in the first game of the doubleheader. The Jimmies took an early lead, thanks to Abby Blair who drove in a run in the top of the first inning. They added another run to make it 2-0 before Morningside scored in the third inning, bringing the score to 2-1. However, the Jimmies sealed their victory with a run-scoring single from Gracie Fisher in the fifth inning, making it 3-1.
On the other hand, the Jimmies suffered a loss by a margin of six runs to ten against Morningside University in the second game of the doubleheader. Despite taking an initial lead of three runs in the second inning, Morningside fought back and tied up things by mid-game. Gentry Turin was impressive as he had a 2-for-3 performance with two RBIs.
