India’s Star Captain Virat Kohli Allowed to Join T20 World Cup Squad Despite Missing Training Sessions in USA.

Virat Kohli Joins Team India in Preparation for T20 World Cup 2024 Warm-Up Match Against Bangladesh

Virat Kohli has been granted permission to join the India squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 in New York, despite missing three training sessions in the USA. Although there is uncertainty surrounding his participation in the warm-up game against Bangladesh on June 1 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, Kohli will have three net sessions before the first game against Ireland on June 5.

On Friday, an optional training session was conducted with players including Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube, and Mohammed Siraj under the supervision of the support staff. In past seasons, Kohli has been given exceptions by both the team management and BCCI for personal reasons. The Indian team traveled to New York in batches based on their performances and eliminations from IPL season playoffs.

The T20 World Cup schedule includes matches against Ireland, Pakistan, USA, and Canada. India’s first three games will be played in New York while their final match will be held in Lauderhill, Florida. Kohli’s presence and performance will be crucial for India’s success in this tournament. Fans can stay updated on T20 World Cup by downloading the app now.
