In the midst of a complex battle: The struggles of Ukrainian Commander Oleksandr Syrsky and the fight to defend the east.

Kiev, Ukraine in turmoil: Russia’s advance pushes us back

As the battle between Russia and Ukraine rages on, tensions continue to rise. The General Oleksandr Syrsky, commander of Kiev’s armed forces, faces a complex situation as Russia advances and presses forward. Ukraine is fighting hard to defend its eastern front, especially in the critical stages of the war.

Syrsky is keeping a close eye on the situation as he waits for the promised weapons from the United States to arrive. Washington has already delivered new missiles capable of striking targets 300 kilometers away, and has authorized an additional package of $6 billion with the missiles Patriot requested by President Volodymyr Zelensky. However, these new supplies will not have an immediate impact on the balance of power, as Syrsky explains.

The situation in the east has become increasingly complicated for Ukrainian forces. They are retreating westward in Berdychiv, Semenivka and Novomykhailivka, while Russian forces are making tactical gains in various areas. In addition, Ukrainian forces are also facing difficulties in maintaining their routes through Pokrovsky and Kurakhiv as Russia tries to develop an offensive towards Avdiyivka and Maryinka.

On the southern front, Ukrainian units have been able to advance towards Kherson in the direction of Veletenskyi and take control of Nestryga Island. However, enemy forces continue to bombard the border regions of Sumy and Chernihiv, despite there being no signs of a northern offensive preparation. Syrsky is closely monitoring the increase in enemy troop numbers and reorganization in the direction of Kharkiv as the situation continues to unfold.
