On “Family Business Today,” hosted by Greg Lewis, Welsh talks about her new book “Entrepreneurial Family Business: From Survival to Success.” She shares personal experiences that have shaped her perspective on family business and entrepreneurship. Welsh emphasizes the importance of every generation being entrepreneurial to succeed and survive. She also stresses the need to model and teach entrepreneurship to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in future leaders.

In “She Means Profit,” hosted by Melissa Houston, Welsh focuses on “Cultivating an Entrepreneurial Mindset for Success.” She highlights the significance of an entrepreneurial mindset and draws on her experience as a business owner and entrepreneurship center founder. Welsh encourages individuals to start embracing the title of entrepreneur and underscores the role of financial management, global markets, and essential qualities in achieving entrepreneurial success.

Throughout her career, Welsh has been recognized with numerous awards for her contributions to the field of entrepreneurship, including a lifetime achievement award from the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. After 15 years of teaching at UNCG, Welsh will be retiring this summer. However, her legacy as a dedicated teacher and mentor will continue to inspire future entrepreneurs long after she steps down from her position.
