Free Summer Tickets at Pittsburgh’s Top Attractions: A Gift from the Allegheny Regional Asset District

Enjoy free admission at Pittsburgh Zoo, Carnegie Science Center, and National Aviary this summer – here’s how!

Pittsburgh’s top attractions, including the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, National Aviary, Phipps Conservatory and Andy Warhol Museum, are set to offer over 100,000 free tickets this summer. The Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD) has announced that more than a dozen regional assets will be providing free admission on specific dates from May to August. To take advantage of this offer, people need an Allegheny County library card and must make a reservation.

The free admission is part of an expanded Summer Staycation program from RAD. Instead of traditional RAD Day, attractions will offer free days throughout the summer to spread out crowds and make it easier for everyone to find a suitable time to visit. Last August, the Andy Warhol Museum, Children’s Museum and Heinz History Center offered free admission every operating day following a positive response from the community. RAD Board Chair Dan Griffin emphasized the importance of giving back to taxpayers who fund these projects.

Starting on May 1, free admission dates will be posted on RADPass.org with more offers added throughout the summer. RAD encourages people to cancel their reservation if they can’t make it to allow others to take advantage of the free tickets. This initiative aims at promoting cultural activities and providing opportunities for residents in Allegheny County to enjoy these attractions without breaking the bank.
