Free admission for 8 days at Cleveland’s Great Lakes Science Center thanks to $200,000 grant from Mandel Foundation

Great Lakes Science Center to offer free admission on select dates

Cleveland’s Great Lakes Science Center is thrilled to announce that they will be offering free admission for eight days this summer, thanks to a generous $200,000 grant from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Supporting Foundation. The grant will cover admission for specific dates, with the first four being Sunday, June 23, Monday, July 15, Sunday, August 4 and Sunday, August 18. Additional dates will be announced soon.

The science center attracts over 300,000 visitors annually with its engaging and educational exhibits that aim to unlock scientific mysteries and inspire curiosity. Visitors will have access to a variety of exhibits and programming including the NASA Glenn Visitor Center, the Polymer Funhouse (designed for children aged 7 and under), and hundreds of interactive exhibits exploring topics like space exploration and physics for kids.

Dr. Jehuda Reinharz, president and CEO of the foundation expressed their goal of increasing community awareness of institutions like the science center through initiatives like Mandel Free Days. These free admission days are hoped to allow residents of Northeast Ohio to engage in educational experiences that foster curiosity and critical thinking. The science center is located at 601 Erieside Ave in Cleveland.
