The U.S. military has brought Fleet Week to Miami for the first time in a long while, and the city is buzzing with excitement as a result. The week of events kicked off at the Frost Museum of Science on Sunday, where guests were treated to a free performance by the U.S. Navy Band and had the chance to meet sailors and Marines, as well as witness real K-9 training demonstrations. Fleet Week has attracted over 3,000 members of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard to South Florida, bringing an influx of military activity to the area. Four ships from the Navy have docked at PortMiami as part of the event, adding even more excitement to it all. This marks a significant change in direction for Fleet Week’s organizers and highlights its growing importance in showcasing naval operations and their role in science and technology advancements.
