USA Today ranks Des Moines’ World Food & Music Festival as the 6th best

In 2023, Des Moines’ World Food & Music Festival was ranked sixth on USA Today’s 10Best list of the top city food festivals in the U.S. The festival, which takes place in late August and features international cuisine, diverse food and drink vendors, and interactive culinary programming, has been held annually since its inception in October 2005. This year, the festival is being presented by the Greater Des Moines Partnership and will take place from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25 at Western Gateway Park.

Although Des Moines’ World Food & Music Festival was ranked sixth on the list, it was bested by the Queens Night Market in New York. The Queens Night Market is a seasonal festival inspired by open-air night markets in Asia, showcasing street food that represents the ethnic and cultural diversity of the borough. The festival offers attendees a wide range of culinary experiences to taste and enjoy.
