Comcast and Diamond Sports at Odds: Twins Games Off the Air as Contract Dispute Unfolds

Dispute between Minnesota Twins and Comcast leads to blackout on Bally Sports

The negotiations between Comcast and Diamond Sports, the owner of Bally Sports, have broken down, leading to Twins games being unavailable on Comcast. The conflict arose due to Diamond Sports being in the midst of bankruptcy proceedings. Comcast Xfinity customers were informed of the situation through a message displayed on the Bally Sports channel, explaining that the company had offered multiple options to continue carrying the networks, all of which were declined by Diamond Sports, resulting in the loss of rights to the content.

The Twins expressed their disappointment over the dispute that led to the channel being dropped and fans losing the option to watch games. The team clarified in a statement that they have no role in the disagreement between Comcast and Bally Sports, hoping for a resolution to be reached soon. Diamond Sports Group, Bally’s owner, reassured fans that they can still access Bally Sports through Fubo, DirecTV, or the network’s streaming service.

In response to Comcast’s decision, Diamond Sports criticized the rejection of a proposed extension that would have kept the channels on
