Buttonwood Park Zoo in New Bedford has recently welcomed a new addition to its family – a bearded emperor tamarin monkey. Described as one of the cutest monkeys, she is sure to be a hit with visitors. The zoo now offers a live stream of its red panda exhibit, allowing viewers to watch the adorable creatures 24 hours a day. Red pandas are known for their cuteness and are classified as endangered, with their populations decreasing significantly over the years. With 219 red pandas at 87 AZA accredited institutions worldwide, efforts are being made to save the species. In addition to the red pandas and the new tamarin monkey, families can also enjoy other activities in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island with the Ultimate SouthCoast Playground Guide, which features 48 public playgrounds. One standout playground is the bear-themed playscape at Roger Williams Park in Providence, perfect for kids who love to climb and explore.
