Saudi Pipeline Technology Contract Awarded to Baker Hughes

Baker Hughes has recently been awarded a contract to provide gas technology equipment for the third phase of Saudi Arabia’s Master Gas System project. The company announced this news in a press release on April 23.

Baker Hughes will be supplying a total of 17 pipeline centrifugal compressors for the third phase of the project, following their successful delivery of 18 centrifugal compressors for Phases 1 and 2 of the Master Gas System projects. This new order was awarded by Worley, acting on behalf of Aramco.

In addition to this new contract, Baker Hughes is also working on expanding its manufacturing site in Modon, Saudi Arabia. The upgraded facility will focus on using localized testing and packaging solutions to better support project deliveries within the country.

Earlier in February, Baker Hughes had shared news about successfully delivering the first two trains of advanced hydrogen compression solutions for the NEOM green hydrogen project in Saudi Arabia. This project is recognized as the largest of its kind in the world, underlining Baker Hughes’ expertise and commitment to providing innovative solutions for energy projects.
