Firstpost: US escalates efforts to block technology flow to Russia for weapons

In Washington, US, supporters of Ukraine gathered near the White House to protest against Russia’s invasion of their country. They expressed their solidarity with Ukraine in the face of the ongoing conflict.

The US has taken steps to prevent American commodities from being used to support Russia’s military efforts in Ukraine. The Commerce Department sent letters to at least 20 corporations that produce and market parts used in drones and missiles found in Ukraine, with the aim of disrupting Russia’s military operations and limiting its access to Western technologies.

Despite sanctions imposed by the US and other nations on Moscow, American components have been discovered in Russian weapons left on the battlefield in Ukraine. Assistant Secretary Matthew Axelrod stated that US officials from various departments are working with companies to prevent their products from being used by Russia in the conflict. The US is taking steps to ensure that American businesses are not inadvertently contributing to Russia’s military efforts in Ukraine.
