The Abu Dhabi Investment Office has announced its collaboration with Multi Level Group and Ehang to develop electric vertical take-off aircraft (eVTOL) in the UAE and beyond. The agreement was signed during the “DriftX” event, which brought together experts to discuss innovations shaping the future of mobility.
Ehang plans to establish a regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi to enhance its commercial activities with local partners in various sectors like industrial manufacturing, aviation, research and development, training, and maintenance. The Abu Dhabi Investment Office will support Ehang in establishing and growing its business in the emirate, providing resources related to setting up manufacturing facilities and industrial services, and facilitating international trade opportunities.
The acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office highlighted the importance of attracting international companies to advance smart and autonomous transportation technologies. Multi Level Group’s Chairman expressed excitement about partnering with Ehang to drive innovation in the air vehicle industry and contribute to Abu Dhabi becoming a global hub for electric helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles.
