Calvin Mew has been a dedicated member of the Club for over twenty years, working to foster positive change through various roles and projects. In his first project with Community Partners in 2002, he demonstrated his commitment to making a difference in the community. Since then, he has held several leadership roles within the Club, including joining the Social Enterprise Board in 2005 and serving as Co-Chair of the Social Services Committee. Last July, Mew was elected as Executive Vice President of HBSCNY.

As an independent management consultant outside of the Club, Mew has worked with clients such as the Center Against Domestic Violence and National Council of Jewish Women. In his role as Executive Vice President, Mew plans to continue building upon Clare Peeters’s vision and commitment to the Club and its mission. He acknowledged Peeters as an exemplary leader who has set a high standard for future presidents.

Mew holds several other nonprofit board positions, including Treasurer of Carnegie East House and director of James Lenox House Association. He is also a Council member at Yale Club of New York City and an occasional guest preacher at Norfield Congregational Church (Weston, CT) and Rowayton United Methodist Church (Norwalk, CT). Deborah Farrington, HBSCNY Board Chair, expressed her excitement over Mew’s election as president and thanked Peeters for her leadership over the past three years.

Mew received his education from Harvard Business School and other prestigious institutions such as Yale University, Union Theological Seminary, and Columbia University. As a member of the Harvard Business School Club of New York City, Mew is committed to providing professional development opportunities for its members through educational activities, networking events with fellow alumni from HBS schools worldwide, and service to the school and community.
