Zverev’s Grand Slam Dream Within Reach: A Battle for Title in French Open Semis

Zverev advances to yet another French Open semi-final

Alexander Zverev is on a mission to claim his first Grand Slam title, having reached the French Open semi-finals for the fourth year in a row. In a challenging match, Zverev defeated Australia’s Alex de Minaur 6-4 7-6 (7-5) 6-4, setting himself up for a chance to make it to the Roland Garros final.

Now, Zverev faces Norwegian seventh seed Casper Ruud in the upcoming semi-final. The two players have a history, with Ruud having beaten Zverev in last year’s semi-finals. However, Zverev is determined to come out on top this time around and has stated his intention to win. “I’m happy to be back in another semi-final,” he said. “Hopefully I can win one.” Ruud advanced to the last four without playing as Novak Djokovic withdrew from the tournament due to a knee injury.

In the other semi-final, Italian second seed Jannik Sinner will take on Spanish third seed Carlos Alcaraz. The stage is set for an exciting climax to the French Open as Zverev looks poised to finally clinch that elusive Grand Slam title.
