Five-star linebacker from Georgia commits to in-state college for 2025 season

Georgia Bulldogs have secured another major commitment for their 2025 class with the addition of five-star linebacker Zayden Walker from Ellaville, Georgia. Walker announced his decision to join the Bulldogs on Wednesday afternoon after receiving offers from several top programs, including Miami and South Carolina.

During his junior season at Schley County High School, Walker was a standout athlete, making an impact on both offense and defense. He recorded 40 tackles, 16.5 tackles-for-loss, seven sacks, and two forced fumbles while playing linebacker. Additionally, he ran for 518 yards and 13 touchdowns as a running back. Walker is also a multi-sport athlete who plays basketball and runs track. His brother, Zykeivous Walker, currently plays on the defensive line for Auburn.

When asked about his decision to commit to Georgia, Walker stated that he was impressed by the team’s success and tradition of winning. He believes that Georgia has the right head coach and program to help him reach his full potential as a player both on and off the field. With this exciting news, Georgia solidifies its position as one of the top recruiting destinations in college football for 2025.
