Following in the footsteps of his older brother Charlie Offerdahl, Jack Offerdahl is making a name for himself at Dakota Ridge High School in Littleton. As a sophomore, he played as a defensive back and had an impressive season with 80 total tackles, three interceptions, and 12 pass deflections in 12 games.
Recently, Jack attended Colorado’s summer elite camp, which is open to high school football players. By the end of the day, he was recognized by Colorado cornerbacks coach Kevin Mathis as one of the top five defensive backs at the camp. This recognition is significant not only because of Mathis’ coaching status but also due to his 10-year NFL career.
With early recognition from Colorado, there is potential for Jack Offerdahl to follow in his brother’s footsteps and join the Buffaloes in the future. As a class of 2026 prospect, he still has two more years to impress college scouts across the nation.
Buffs fans are eager to see what Charlie Offerdahl will do in 2024 after earning a scholarship from head coach Deion Sanders this spring. However, they may soon hear another Offerdahl saying “Home is where the buffalo roam” as their younger brother Jack continues to make a name for himself on the field.
