The West Midlands club has won the race to sign 17-year-old defender Pedro Lima from Brazilian club Sport Recife in a deal worth £8.5m. The teenager’s move to Wolves will be officially announced on his 18th birthday on July 1st, with a five-year contract in place and an option for an extra year.
Sport Recife released a statement announcing the agreement to transfer Lima’s rights to Wolves, pending the completion of medical examinations. President Yuri Romao and the football management committee will provide further details on the deal once all aspects of the transfer have been finalized.
Wolves are looking forward to strengthening their squad for the future as they hope that Lima can make an impact in their defense in the coming seasons.
