Yankees to bring up Anthony Misiewicz: A Closer Look at His Impressive Performance with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre

Yankees promote LHP Anthony Misiewicz from Triple-A

The Yankees are set to bring up left-hander Anthony Misiewicz before their game against the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, according to reports. Misiewicz had a brief stint with the team last season, playing in three games before a head injury forced him to miss the rest of the year after being struck by a line drive.

Despite his short stay with the team, Misiewicz has been performing well this season with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In 23 appearances, he has posted a 3.23 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 37 strikeouts. His increased use of the cutter has resulted in more strikeouts for him, and he has also significantly reduced his walks compared to previous seasons.

Throughout his career, Misiewicz has pitched in 130 big league games over four seasons, recording a 4.71 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. With his impressive performance this season, it looks like he could be set to make a bigger impact for the Yankees in the future.
