Xpheno declares July 1st as a holiday in celebration of India’s T20 Cricket World Cup victory

Xpheno, a staffing firm with over 500 employees, announced July 1 as a holiday to commemorate India’s victory over South Africa in the T20 World Cup final on June 29. This decision came as a surprise to the employees, who were busy with billings and payroll closures on the first day of the month. The company wanted to honor Team India for their outstanding performance and give them a well-deserved break.

On June 29, India won the T20 World Cup against South Africa after a 17-year drought. They defeated South Africa by 7 runs in Barbados. The team celebrated at Kensington Oval stadium for nearly four hours after the match. Team captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from T20 International format cricket, along with Ravindra Jadeja. Kohli scored a record-breaking 76 runs to lead India to victory.

Suryakumar Yadav’s crucial catch of David Miller’s hit helped India secure the win when South Africa needed 16 runs in the last over. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and Rahul Gandhi sent wishes to the team. A total of 3.6 crore Indians chose Xpheno as their platform for General Election Results updates, making it clear that they were undisputed choices for election updates in India.
