Xfinity Series Prepares for Intense Battle at Texas Motor Speedway: Can Full-Time Cup Drivers Claim Victory over Up-and-Comers?

Texas schedule for NASCAR Xfinity and Cup races on Saturday

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will hit the track at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, with Xfinity teams taking to the track for their race in the afternoon. Only one driver in the Xfinity lineup has a win at Texas, which was Cole Custer during the 2018 playoff race. Meanwhile, Cup teams will start the day with practice and qualifying sessions to determine the lineup for Sunday’s race.

In recent years, it has been common to see drivers who are currently competing full-time in the Cup series winning races in the Xfinity series at Texas. In fact, in the last 21 Xfinity races at Texas, 20 of them were won by full-time Cup drivers. This includes William Byron, who could potentially win the championship in 2024 if he continues his strong performance at Texas. Other drivers to watch include Parker Kligerman, Austin Hill, and Justin Allgaier, who have had strong finishes at Texas in previous seasons.

Saturday’s race also marks the second event of the Dash 4 Cash program, with Sam Mayer, Sheldon Creed, Allgaier and Chandler Smith competing for a $100,000 bonus. The weather at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday is expected to be partly cloudy with gusts of wind up to 20 mph and a high of 73 degrees
