Charlotte Saturday Schedule for NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series

The NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series are making a return to Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend. The Xfinity teams will be resuming their regular-season schedule after a one-week hiatus, while the Cup teams will be practicing and qualifying for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600, which is considered one of NASCAR’s premier races.

Justin Allgaier from JR Motorsports is the defending winner of the Charlotte Xfinity race and is one of three drivers on the lineup with previous wins at the 1.5-mile track. Kyle Busch will be driving for Richard Childress Racing as he aims to add his tenth win to his Xfinity championship at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Ty Gibbs will also be returning to Joe Gibbs Racing in pursuit of his second victory at the track. Another notable driver on the Xfinity entry list is Dean Thompson, who will make his series debut with Sam Hunt Racing.

Chase Elliott will be making a return to Xfinity in the Hendrick Motorsports entry. The Saturday schedule at Charlotte Motor Speedway includes an Xfinity race that consists of 200 laps and 300 miles airing on Fox, Performance Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. There will also be Cup series practice and qualifying happening on Saturday as well. The weather forecast for the weekend at the track includes partly cloudy skies with a possibility of stray thunderstorms. The temperature is expected to reach a high of 84 degrees with a 21% chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity race, and a high of 89 degrees with a 24% chance of rain at the start of Cup practice and qualifying.
