The XCC World Cup has kicked off the 2024 season with a thrilling 20-minute race. The U23 riders were the first to hit the brand new course in Brazil, with Kira Bohm dominating the Women’s racing with a 17-second win. In the Men’s race, Riley Amos had a strong start to the season, finishing two seconds ahead of Dario Lillo.
The following day, the Elites took on the challenge of an intense sprint race, facing high heat and humidity in the Brazilian jungle. Kate Courtney led the Women’s race early on, but Evie Richards made a strong push and ultimately took the win. In the Men’s race, Luca Schwarzbauer showcased his dominance in short-track format, with Sam Gaze securing victory in a thrilling final sprint.
Unlike previous years, there is no break for elite riders as they transition straight into full-length XCO racing now taking place on Saturdays. For full results, highlights and analysis of this exciting event please check out our latest updates.
