Highlights from the ID@Xbox Showcase 2024: Exciting New Games Revealed

During the Xbox Showcase 2024, Microsoft revealed a lineup of indie games that will be coming to Xbox consoles and PC this year. Some of the titles announced include 33 Inmortals, Commandos Origins, and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, from the creators of Life is Strange.

One of the standout games showcased at the event was 33 Inmortals, a cooperative roguelike game developed by Thunder Lotus Games. Players can team up with up to 32 friends as they fight against monsters, final bosses, and the wrath of God in order to survive the final judgment. The closed beta for 33 Inmortals is set to launch on May 29.

Another game highlighted during the event was Astor: Blade of the Monolith, developed by C2 Game Studio. This hack and slash ARPG follows protagonist Astor on a journey to explore planet Gliese and uncover ancient mysteries while battling evil creatures called hiltsik. Astor: Blade of the Monolith will be available for all players on May 30.

Commandos Origins, a new installment in the war saga developed by Claymore Game Studios, was also announced. Set in World War II, players can take on the role of protagonist Jack O’Hara or one of his five companions as they complete historically authentic war missions. The closed beta for Commandos Origins is expected to launch this summer.

Xbox also unveiled Centum, a dark adventure game with 8-bit graphics developed by Serenity Forge. Players will navigate through enigmatic scenes, making decisions to escape while following the guidance of an unreliable narrator. Centum is set to release in the summer of this year.

Other upcoming games showcased at the event include Lost Records: Bloom & Rage by Don’t Nod, Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter by Odd Bug Studio, Palworld updates featuring new creatures and Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns set for release on May 9
