Wrestling fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of WWE2K24, and this year they are finally getting their wish. The game features a variety of popular types of battles that have been requested for years, including guest referee, ambulance, coffin battle, and the GAUNTLET, which is a “Mortal Kombat tower” where you have to defeat a new opponent every time. These battles add a lot of interest to the game, especially when combined with other mods such as Universe Mod.
While there aren’t many changes in the way battles are conducted, there are some minor upgrades that add interest to the game. More moves now have a fatigue animation, triggering if you perform them without enough STAMINA. Another addition is a fist fight mini-game where each side must press buttons in time to land a blow on the opponent. The most interesting addition is the Super Pinsher, a devastating move from which there is no return, requiring three normal Pinschers to complete.
The game includes familiar mods from last year, such as MY RISE and MY FACTION, each offering unique stories and battles. GM MODE has received upgrades, offering more types of fights, deeper talent searches, and increased dialogue options with your roster. UNIVERSE MODE, where players create their own world, has some new scenes for wrestler interactions but lacks significant changes to rivalry options.
One of the biggest draws for wrestling fans is CM Punk’s inclusion in the DLC. Adli United, the official importer of the game in Israel provided a copy for review. Overall WWE2K24 is considered one of the best wrestling games in years with polished gameplay and minimal bugs along with a wide variety of fights and mods to keep players engaged.
