Wolves Close in on Loan Deal for Impressive Striker Jorgen Strand Larsen

Larsen scheduled to undergo medical examination with Wolves next Monday

Wolves are close to securing a loan deal for Celta Vigo striker Jorgen Strand Larsen. The 24-year-old is set to undergo a medical on Monday, with the initial loan fee for Larsen being 3m euros (£2.5m). Wolves have the option to make the move permanent next summer for 27m euros (£23m).

Jorgen Strand Larsen has had an impressive season last year, scoring a total of 16 goals for club and country. His performances helped Celta Vigo finish 14th in La Liga. Prior to his time at Celta Vigo, Larsen began his career at Sarpsborg before moving to Groningen in the Netherlands, where he scored 24 goals in 67 appearances. In 2022, Celta Vigo brought him to Spain for a reported fee of 11m euros (£9.3m), and he has since scored 18 times in 74 games.

Wolves have already secured the signings of winger Rodrigo Gomes from Braga on a five-year deal and teenage right-back Pedro Lima from Sport Recife in Brazil. These new additions will help strengthen Wolves’ squad ahead of the upcoming season as they look to build on their success last season when they finished seventh in the Premier League.
