WNBA Rookie Dyaisha Fair Discusses Her Brief Stint with Las Vegas Aces

Aces release rookie Dyaisha Fair just one day after her WNBA debut

Dyaisha Fair made her WNBA debut on Saturday night, playing about four minutes late in the Aces’ win over the Fever. Just one day later, Fair’s time with the Las Vegas Aces came to an end as she was waived by the team after just four games into the WNBA season. Despite parting ways with Fair, the Aces have had a successful start to the season and currently hold a 3-1 record.

Fair, who averaged 22.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game during her college career at Syracuse, was selected by the Aces in the second round of the WNBA Draft last month. She had moved up to No. 3 on the NCAA’s all-time scoring list with 3,403 career points, behind only Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Plum. Fair also played in a preseason game against Puerto Rico, where she played about 10 minutes in a big win for Las Vegas.

Fair recorded two assists and went 0-of-2 from the field in her debut game, a 99-80 win over the Indiana Fever. However, just one day later she was waived by the team after just four games into the WNBA season
