Aces Release Rookie Dyaisha Fair Following WNBA Debut

Dyaisha Fair made her debut in the WNBA on Saturday night against the Fever, playing approximately four minutes late in the game. However, her time with the Las Vegas Aces was short-lived as she was waived by the team just one day after her debut. In her debut game, Fair recorded two assists and missed both of her field goal attempts in the Aces’ 99-80 victory over the Indiana Fever.

Prior to being waived, Fair had initially made the Aces’ roster but had not seen any game time until Saturday’s match. She had featured in a preseason game against Puerto Rico earlier in the month, playing for about 10 minutes in a blowout win. Despite parting ways with Fair, the Aces have been performing well this season, with a record of 3-1. Their only loss came against the Phoenix Mercury in a 10-point defeat. The Aces are aiming to secure their third consecutive WNBA title, a feat that has not been achieved since the Houston Comets won four titles in a row from 1997 to 2000.

Dyaisha Fair had an impressive career at Syracuse University before being drafted by the Las Vegas Aces in the second round of the WNBA Draft. During her time at Syracuse, she averaged 22.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game and ranked third on the NCAA’s all-time scoring list with 3,403 points.
