WME Sports Expands into the World of Padel: Representing Top Players and Offering Brand Consulting Services

WME Sports introduces new division dedicated to padel tennis

WME Sports is expanding its reach into the world of padel, a fast-growing global racquet sport, by offering talent representation and brand consulting services. The division’s first signee is Arturo Coello, the current No. 1 ranked player on the World Padel Tour at just 21 years old. Coello will continue to work with his manager, Miguel Sánchez, and is excited to join WME Sports to elevate his brand.

The padel group at WME Sports will be led by directors Hernan Auguste and Daniel Dios. Auguste, a former top-ranked padel player, has experience as the international manager of the WPT, chief padel officer at LeDap Group, and head of international relations at MejorSet Padel Courts. Dios has consulted for LeDap, served as international sales director at Notrick Planner, and been CEO of Padel Trainer. Both directors will report to Max Eisenbud, IMG’s SVP/Head of Tennis Clients, as WME Sports will collaborate with IMG’s tennis division to enhance its offerings in the padel industry.

WME Sports represents various top tennis players through IMG’s tennis division, such as French Open champions Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek. By leveraging the resources and expertise of IMG’s tennis vertical, WME Sports aims to expand its presence and success in the padel market. The addition of padel to the agency’s services demonstrates its commitment to diversifying its portfolio and supporting emerging sports talents like Arturo Coello.

IMG’s SVP/Head of Tennis Clients Max Eisenbud commented: “We are thrilled to be working with WME Sports on this exciting new venture into the world of padel. With their strong track record in representing top tennis players and their expertise in brand consulting services, we believe they are well positioned to help our clients succeed in this rapidly growing sport.”
