Four-star wide receiver Madden Williams has received a scholarship offer from the Wisconsin Badgers. Williams, who stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 185 pounds, is a highly-ranked recruit for the class of 2026. He is considered the No. 37 wide receiver in the nation, the No. 25 recruit from California, and the No. 245 overall prospect for his class.
Wisconsin had previously offered scholarships to 26 wide receivers in the class of 2026, but their focus now lies on recruiting for the class of 2025. Currently, the Badgers’ 2025 recruiting class is ranked No. 6 in the nation with 19 committed players. With the addition of Williams, Wisconsin hopes to continue building a strong foundation for the future of their football program.
Williams is one of several talented offensive playmakers from this year’s recruitment cycle that have been offered scholarships by Wisconsin. Despite being a young recruit, he has already garnered interest from over two dozen NCAA Division I programs, including top schools like Ohio State, Georgia, and Oregon.
While On3’s recruiting prediction machine suggests that Williams may end up playing for UCLA or Cal in his home state, it remains to be seen where he will ultimately commit to play college football next season. However, if he decides to attend Wisconsin instead of heading westward towards Los Angeles or Berkeley, it would significantly bolster the Badgers’ offensive playmaking abilities for both this season and beyond.
