Renowned musician Willie Nelson was forced to withdraw from the lineup of Friday’s Outlaw Music Festival in Georgia due to health reasons. A message on Nelson’s social media account revealed that he was not feeling well and needed to rest for four days as instructed by his doctor. However, the 91-year-old artist is expected to recover soon and rejoin the festival tour next week. In his absence, Lukas Nelson and the Family Band, along with some guests, will perform a set featuring Willie’s classics and other songs.
Despite Willie’s absence, other performers like Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, and Alison Krauss were still scheduled to perform as planned. Friday marked the festival’s opening date, but fans were disappointed by Nelson’s sudden withdrawal.
Mark Heim, a reporter for The Alabama Media Group, shared this news and advised fans to stay informed about Nelson’s health and return to the stage soon. He also mentioned that listeners can hear him on “The Opening Kickoff” on WNSP-FM 105.5 FM in Mobile every day from 6 a.m. through the Sound of Mobile App.
